Beneil Dariush out, Chris Wade in to face Taisumov at UFC Boston

image Earlier today, it was reported that number 9 ranked UFC lightweight, Beneil Dariush was out of his January 17th bout with Mairbek Taisumov with an undisclosed injury, and fellow UFC lightweight, and New York native Chris Wade would step in on short notice versus the Russian. Wade has gone 3-0 since making his UFC debut in August of 2014 at UFC 177. He earned a submission finish in his debut before winning two unanimous decisions since then. The Russian, Taisumov, has gone 4-1 under the UFC banner since making his debut at the inaugural UFC Fight Pass event in Singapore in January of 2014. Since winning a unanimous decision then,he has had one loss and has  earned 3 TKO finshes in his last 3 and is viewed as a solid future contender in the lightweight division. The bout takes place on Sunday, January 17th at UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Cruz. The card will air live on Fox Sports 1 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
