Charmaine Tweet misses weight, title fight with Jessy Miele still on at Prestige FC 2

DSC00180 Prestige FC 2 co-headliner Charmaine Tweet was not present as the weigh-ins, which occurred at the Quality Inn in Regina, Saskatchewan on Friday afternoon, at the scheduled time of 2pm ET/11am PT. After the official weigh-ins concluded, Tweet later weighed-in .4-pounds over the 145-pound title fight limit and is fined 20% of her fight purse by the Saskatchewan Athletic Commission, Prestige FC CEO Cord Crowthers told MMAjr.co. The fight between Tweet and Jessy Miele will still be contested with the belt on the line and will remain a five-round fight. "Fight is still on and will be for the belt," Crowthers said. "Commission will not recognize it as a title fight on official records, but it will still be five-rounds and winner gets belt, as agreed by both fighters and their camps." Tweet vs. Miele is among twelve other fights on the Prestige FC 2 card, including a featherweight championship bout between Kurt Southern and Nick Rhoads, which headlines the highly anticipated card. The event takes place live from the Orr Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. The main card of Prestige FC 2 will air live on the Fight Network. MMAjr.co will be cage-side on Saturday night with live results and other coverage.

I wonder if the title still being on the line has anything to do with the fact that Tweet and Cord are in a relationship? Conflict of interest much?
