The rematch has finally been set. It was announced during the broadcast of last nights UFC Fight Night 82 event that Daniel Cormier will meet Jon Jones for a second time at UFC 197. Also announced was the co-main event of the evening as Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson is set to make his 8th flyweight title defense against #3 ranked contender Henry Cejudo. Daniel Cormier (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) won the vacant light heavyweight title against Anthony "Rumble" Johnson back in May 2015 after Jones was stripped of the belt. Since then he has defended the title once against Alexander Gustafsson. The two first met back in January 2015, the fight went the distance and Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) won a clear unanimous decision. Since his last fight Jones has made it clear on social media that he wants the belt back and is looking into tremendous shape ahead of this bout. The first ever flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson,  has already made 7 defences of his 125lb belt and doesn't look like he's planning on stopping anytime soon. He most recently defeated John Dodson in a rematch which was supposed to be his toughest outing to date however he made it look relatively easy taking a unanimous decision. Before that he made a huge statement against Kyoji Horiguchi by submitting him with one second left in the fight earning a title of the latest finish in UFC history. The undefeated Cejudo has looked very impressive as he has been on his own tear over the past year in the UFC. He most recently defeated the highly talented Jussier Formiga in Mexico back in November which took him to 10-0. Before that he defeated veteran Chico Camus via unanimous decision. UFC 197 takes place live in Las Vegas on April 23, the venue has yet to be announced however it is likely it take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  No other fights have yet been announced for the card.
