After weeks of rumors and reports, two title fights are finally official for UFC 197. UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is moving up to the lightweight division to take on 155-pound titleholder Rafael dos Anjos in the highly anticipated main event. In the evening's co-feature, women's bantamweight champ Holly Holm squares off with top contender Miesha Tate. After a report from Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter, UFC officials confirmed the news earlier this week. Dos Anjos is coming off a first-round TKO over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in his first title defense last month in the headliner of UFC on FOX 17. The Brazilian won the lightweight belt in March 2015 when he dominated Anthony Pettis in a massive upset. McGregor recently knocked out Jose Aldo in 13-seconds for the 145-pound strap in the main event of UFC 194, which followed an interim title win over Chad Mendes last summer. Holm is coming off an 'Upset of the Year' candidate knockout win over former champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November. She unexpectedly dominated the fight until she finished "Rowdy" in the second round of the pay-per-view headliner. Tate is riding a four-fight winning streak which includes decision victories over Jessica Eye and Sara McMann in 2015. Her last loss came to Rousey at the end of 2013, by third-round submission. UFC 197 takes place live from Las Vegas on March 5.
