According to documents obtained by MMA Fighting via a public records request to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Trevino failed a drug test for elevated THC-COOH levels at UFC 192 on Oct. 3 in Houston. Trevino had 69 ng/ml of marijuana metabolites in his system and the Texas threshold is 50 ng/ml. Trevino has been under fire since losing to Northcutt at UFC 192 as "Sitkayan" pushed referee Herb Dean as he was protesting the stoppage. A 57-second loss, pushing a referee, and failing a post fight drug test, not a great week for Trevino, then. Texas Combative Sports Program director Greg Alvarez confirmed that Trevino will be suspended 90 days for the positive result. Referee Herb Dean has decided not to take action against Trevino for the push as Trevino said he was "just trying to get his attention".
