Henry Cejudo vs. Jussier Formiga added to UFC Fight Night 78 in Mexico

Flyweight's Henry Cejudo (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Jussier Formiga (18-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) are set to battle it out at UFC Fight Night 78 in Mexico.

UFC officials confirmed the fight earlier today. Cejudo, who is the #5 ranked flyweight in the UFC, started his career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship at Bantamweight when he won a decision against Dustin Kimura. Cejudo then moved down to flyweight and defeated Chris Cariaso and Chico Camus, both by decision. His opponent, #3 ranked Formiga, went 1-2 in his first three UFC fights, with a TKO loss to John Dodson in his debut, a decision win over Chris Cariaso in his second outing, and a TKO loss to Joseph Benavidez in his third bout. Since the rocky start, Cejudo has put together a three fight win streak with wins over Scott Jorgensen, Zach Makovsky and Wilson Reis. UFC Fight Night 78 takes place place on 21 Nov. at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. The event is headlined by a welterweight scrap between Kelvin Gastelum and Matt Brown. The lightweight and welterweight finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 are also expected to take place at the event.
