UFC officials announced the fight earlier today. Horuguchi (16-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) is coming off a decision victory over Chico Camus at UFC Fight Night 75 which took place in the Saitama Super Arena in Japan this past September. Prior to that, Horiguchi, who has a second degree black belt in Karate, fought, and lost to Demetrious Johnson in his first title fight inside the UFC. Horiguchi was dominated for the most part before being submitted with an armbar with just one second remaining in the fight. "The Supernova" will be looking to put together his second win in a row as he faces Neil Seery in the Netherlands. Seery (16-11 MMA, 3-2 UFC) entered the UFC with a slugfest with Brad Pickett in London which he eventually lost before putting together two wins with decisions over Phil Harris and Chris Beal. The Irishman then fought Louis Smolka at UFC 189 and lost a decision after three rounds of action. Most recently, Seery fought in Dublin and picked up another victory and his first stoppage in the UFC with a guillotine over Jon Delos Reyes. That fight was in October of 2015 and "2-tap" will be looking to get back into the cage and show that he belongs at the top of the flyweight division. UFC Fight Night 87 takes place live from the Ahoy Rotterdam arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands and is headlined by a pivotal heavyweight bout between Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem.
