BAMMA announced the change on their official Twitter account. Godbeer is currently riding a two-fight win streak and is coming off a convincing win over Paul Taylor at BAMMA 21 to capture the BAMMA heavyweight crown, he was scheduled to face BAMMA newcomer Ruben Wolf at BAMMA 23: Night Of Champions but has had to withdraw from the fight. No details of the injury have surfaced yet but BAMMA confirmed on Twitter there would be an update tomorrow. The man who is set to fill in for Godbeer, Thomas Denham, also last fought at BAMMA 21 and also picked up a convincing win, stopping Ashley Pollard in under a minute. Denham has already fought Godbeer, losing via TKO in the first round at BAMMA 19. Ruben "Viking" Wolf will undoubtedly be disappointed to not be fighting Godbeer as the two do not see eye to eye. Wolf has never fought for BAMMA before but is riding a four fight win streak with three TKO's and one submission. BAMMA 23: Night Of Champions takes place inside the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, England on Nov. 14and is headlined by an interim Heavyweight Championship fight between Thomas Denham and Ruben Wolf.
