Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes set for UFC 200

UFC 200 Tate Nunes The women's bantamweight belt is on the line at UFC 200. Miesha Tate will defend her belt for the first time against heavy-handed Amanda Nuens at UFC 200. The news broke on UFC Tonight Wednesday night. This fight will take place on July 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card is expected to be headlined by Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. Miesha Tate (18-5) earned the biggest win of her career in her last outing, defeating Holly Holm by submission in the fifth round and securing her position as the women's bantamweight champion. The finish gave Tate her first "Performance of the Night" bonus and her third UFC bonus overall. Tate's first shot at UFC gold came in a rematch against Ronda Rousey in December of 2013, losing by armbar in the third round. Since then Tate has climbed to a five-fight winning streak including her victory over Holm, the other four (Carmouche, Nakai, McMann, and Eye) coming by ways of decision.

Amanda Nunes (12-4) earned a decision victory against Valentina Shevchenko in her last outing at UFC 196. She currently rides a three-fight win streak including victories over Sara McMann and Shayna Baszler. Her only loss in her six UFC appearances came to Cat Zingano in September of 2014. 9 of her 11 professional victories have come by way of finish in the first round (7 TKO's, 2 SUB's).
