The fight was exclusively announced by TalkingBrawlsMMA earlier today. Redmond (10-6 MMA, 0-0 BAMMA) went 10-4 before getting his call to join the UFC, with 9 finishes and just one decision. Redmond understandably had a lot of hype around him going into the UFC but his tenure with the sports premiere organisation didn't go to plan. Redmond debuted in the UFC at UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden and lost a decision to Mirsad Bektic. Most recently, Redmond fought Robert Whiteford  at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow, and was knocked out in the first round. Following his UFC release, Redmond signed with BAMMA, and now he has his first task. McGann (9-2 MMA, 3-2 BAMMA) is one of the most highly touted prospects in MMA, 'The Pilgrim' is a former training partner of Quinton Jackson who labeled him 'The next big thing'. McGann was 6-0 when he debuted in BAMMA, and made it seven when he stopped Kayvan Fallah at BAMMA 17. McGann then had a chance to fight for the Lonsdale Lightweight strap against Marc Diakiese, but was neutralised as Diakiese won a decision. McGann rebounded by stopping short notice replacement Aziz Stringer in the first round before coming up against Jack Grant in what was supposed to be the toughest test of his career. McGann made it look easy by hurting Grant numerous times before finishing him in just 52-seconds. Most recently, McGann fought Damien Lapilus at BAMMA 23 and was upset by the Frenchman, who submitted him in the first round. BAMMA 26 takes place live from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on June 4. The card features four bouts already, including two title fights.
