Report: UFC Fight Night switched to UFC 198, Werdum-Miocic new headliner

image Earlier today it was reported that UFC Fight Night card scheduled for Brazil on May 14 will now serve as a pay-per-view card and will be called UFC 198. Brazilian outlet Combate reported the news on Wednesday evening. However, UFC officials have not confirmed the news at this time. Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is coming off a title win over Cain Velasquez at UFC 188 last June. Prior to that, he knocked out Mark Hunt to capture interim title in November 2014. He was supposed to challenge Velasquez at that event, but the then-champ was forced out of the contest with an injury. Stipe Miocic (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is riding a two-fight winning streak with stoppage victories over Andrei Arlovski and the aforementioned Hunt. His last loss came to the hands of former champion Junior dos Santos over a year ago in a five round thriller. The card is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Fabricio Werdum and top contender, Stipe Miocic. The original headliner, Ronaldo Souza vs. Vitor Belfort, is expected to serve as the co-headliner on the card. A location has yet to be announced by the organization.
