Following his temporary suspension being lifted just days ago, UFC heavyweight contender Travis Browne is hoping to get back into the Octagon by the end of the year, and has an opponent in mind -- heavy hitter Matt Mitrione. UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani reported the news on Wednesday. According to Browne's manager, John Fosco, Mitrione is also open to the idea, but the UFC has yet to offer either fighter the matchup. Browne was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife over social media this past July. The promotion then suspended him while an FBI agent conducted a thorough investigation. However, it was confirmed last week the agent found "inconclusive evidence", so the Hawaiian is now able to continue his UFC career. 'Hapa' is coming off a first-round TKO loss to top contender Andrei Arlovski, but picked up $50,000 for 'Fight of the Night' honors. Prior to that, he got back into the winning column following a loss to now-titleholder Fabricio Werdum with a first-round TKO win over Brendan Schaub. Mitrione was surging through the heavyweight rankings but in his last outing got submitted by top 10 Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 68 in June. Prior to that, he picked up what was arguably the biggest win of his career, a stoppage over Gabriel Gonzaga.
