Following a recent loss to champ Demetrious Johnson, UFC flyweight contender John Dodson will be competing at bantamweight in his next outing. The news was reported on Wednesday's UFC Tonight. Dodson (17-7) was crowned the bantamweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter but chose to compete at 125-pounds from there on. Since then, he's picked up several victories, including a 2014 stoppage over John Moraga, but has lost to 'Mighty Mouse' twice. 'The Magician' will be looking to quickly rise the 135-pound rankings and eventually get a rematch with champion T.J. Dillashaw, who he owns a first-round knockout win over. No time frame was given for Dodson's return to action. Stay tuned to MMAjr.co for more news, including a potential opponent for Dodson, on this situation as it becomes available to us.
