Heavyweight fighter Jared Rosholt has been released by the UFC. "The Big Show" was 6-2 in the promotion but was constantly criticized for his 'boring' fight style.

Steve Jeffery, who is a member of the  current UFC rankings media panelist noted the change on Tuesday night. Rosholt (14-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) finished only one of his six UFC victories, with a third round TKO victory over Josh Copeland after a laboured fight at UFC 185. Rosholt's first loss in the UFC came after he insisted he wanted to showcase his striking and make himself a more exciting fighter. Rosholt got tagged on numerous occasions before being knocked out cold by Oleksiy Olinyk. Following the loss, Rosholt went 3-0 inside the UFC before most recently losing a Unanimous Decision to Roy Nelson in a less than entertaining fight. The news has come as a slight shock as Rosholt had a mostly successful stint in the UFC but with the UFC trying to cut the payroll at the minute, it's less shocking than it maybe should be.
