image Earloer today, Angela Hill, who competed on 'The Ultimate Fighter' season 20, announced her release from the UFC after going 0-2 in her short UFC stint after the reality show. She announced the news via Facebook. "Last year in April I had my first MMA fight. 2 days later I flew out to Vegas and tried out for the Ultimate Fighter. It's been a roller coaster ride and I proved to myself how strong I could be in the shittiest situations. After 2 losses to top 5 ranked opponents I got the call that I've been  released from the UFC," she said. Since moving on from the reality show, Hill faced Tecia Torres in her official UFC debut which she lost by a dominant unanimous decision in Mexico City this past June. Her second fight last barely a round versus Rose Namajunas, she was submitted inside the first round by a standing rear-naked choke. Hill ultimately believes the release will prove to be a good thing in the long run. "It's bittersweet, but hopefully I'll be able to stay active outside the octagon and gain the experience I need to to make my way back to the belt.
